My grandfather and great grandfather, both named Neil Murray, grew up growing and harvesting flax in the 1800s into the early 1900s in Northern Ireland. I bought this book for my brother who'd recently traveled to Ireland and visited the old farmstead. He really enjoyed reading about the history of the linen industry, growing and harvesting practices, and early product advertisements. It's a nice addition to our growing collection of books relating to our flax-growing Irish ancestors.Product details
